Creating a New Catalog

Follow the steps below to create a new catalog or edit an existing one.

Create a new catalog

  1. On the DWD Designer, click the Designers tab.
  2. Right-click the catalog, then select New Catalog.
  3. Specify this information:
    System Name

    Specify a name for the new catalog.

    System Type

    Leave the system type as Catalog.

    Catalog database connection

    Select a catalog database connection from the drop-down list.

    To create a new or edit an existing connection:

    • Click the Edit button (pencil icon) to edit the selected connection.

    • Click the Connections button to list existing connections.

    Category

    Leave the selected Category as Catalog.

  4. Click OK.
