Creating System Connections

To extract data from an OLTP database you need to set up a data source system that connects that database to the data warehouse server.

A data source system has two connections:

1. One to the data to be extracted.

2. The other to the extracted data destination.

For example, a system connection is set up between the data source system and the staging database. All specified rows are extracted and loaded into the staging database
