Searching for remote DWD server installations

You can search for remote DWD Server instances to use for profile creation.

To search for remote DWD server installations:

  1. On the launch screen, click Tasks > Search for DWD installations.
  2. Specify this information:
    Server Name

    Specify the name of the server that you want to access.

    Login

    Choose between Windows or SQL Server authentication.

    Note: 

    You must have appropriate access rights on the server you are accessing.

    We recommend that Windows authentication is used rather than SQL Server authentication.

  3. Select these options:

    • Also scan linked SQL Servers

    • Update existing profiles only

  4. Click the arrow button.

    The new profile is listed under Login Profiles > Remote SQL Servers.
