Installing customized database settings

Perform this procedure if you selected the custom setup.

Install customized database settings:

  1. Select the components you want to install.

    Click Next.

  2. To create a new repository for the DWD database, select these check boxes:
    • Delete existing DWD Repository

    • Create DWD Databases

  3. Specify a prefix to make the server profile distinct.
  4. Specify this information:
    Path to Install CD

    Specify the location where you want to install the DWD server components.

    Path to error messages

    TySpecifype the location where you want system error messages to be stored.

    SQL Server - Data file location

    Specify the location where you want the database to be stored.

    SQL Server - Log file location

    Specify the location where you want the database log file to be stored.

    If you want to view information about the SQL Server installed on the server, click SQL Server Information.

    Click Next.

  5. Select the databases you want to create.

    Specify this information:

    Database name

    You can manually change the prefix for the DWD databases by specifying a new prefix.

    Data Size

    Specify the amount of space you want to allocate to each of the DWD databases.

    Log Size

    Specify the amount of space you want to allocate for the .log files of each of the DWD databases.

    Click Next.

  6. Select when you want to create an ODBC connection.
  7. If you choose to create a DSN connection now, specify this information:
    Source System ODBC DSN

    Select the ODBC source you want to use.

    Note: 

    If no ODBC source is defined, click Local ODBC Administrator to create a new source.

    User Name

    Specify the user name for the ODBC source.

    Password

    Specify the password for the ODBC source.

    Click Next.

  8. Select whether to use the defined prefix or to change it.
  9. If you selected to change the prefix, specify a new prefix.

    Click OK.

    Click Next.

  10. Click Close.
