Product Tax Relationships (BR58.1)
Use Product Tax Relationships (BR58.1) to define and maintain product tax relationships. A product tax relationship is a combination of an account category, delivery method, and tax product code, and is used to determine the tax amount on a product or maintenance contract. Tax relationships override both the bill-to address and service location when determining tax amounts.
Note: Tax relationships defined here
must also be defined as exceptions on Category Override Tax Rates
(BR03.2). Tax relationships are interfaced to the Lawson Tax (TX) system during
invoice processing and used to identify the appropriate tax rate for the product's delivery
method.
