Depreciation Recalculation (AM580)

Run Depreciation Recalculation (AM580) to recalculate depreciation for a selected asset book. The recalculation begins from the in-service date and calculates up to but does not include the current period. You can also recalculate depreciation for simulated assets.

The primary use for this program is after conversion is completed; you can correct all of the previous product asset depreciation information before any further asset processing. If the asset is released and you run Depreciation Recalculation (AM580), it does not reset the status of the asset. The asset remains in a released status, even though AM580 has updated the asset.

If the asset has not been released, you must run Processing Release (AM170) to update the depreciation changes requested. No journal entries are created for any changes made.

You can review recalculated depreciation values by running Depreciation Recalculation Report (AM258).
