Balancing payroll

  • Run Canadian Annual Report (PR248) using one of these report options to help balance your year end data.

    • Employee Detail Report shows employee level detail of gross wages, taxable wages, and tax withheld for each tax category as defined in the program parameters,

    • Summary Report shows summary level totals of gross wages, taxable wages and tax withheld for each tax category as defined in the program parameters, or a

    • Balancing Report shows information similar to the Summary Report plus other specific Canadian Tax status totals such as: employer withheld health/dental, RRP, RPSP, and Provincial medical premiums.

  • Run Payment Detail Listing (PR260) to produce a listing of payments that meet the parameters you selected. This listing includes the pay summary group amount, deduction amount, taxable wages, and gross and net pay. Use the parameters on this report to meet your balancing needs.

    • Year-To-Date-Payment Report (PR265)

    • Employee Wage Report (PR270)

    • Deduction Report (PR275)

    • Employee Deduction Report (PR276)

Run a Canadian annual report

  1. Access Canadian Annual Reports (PR248).

  2. Select the company for which you want to run the report.

  3. Specify the reporting year in the Payroll Year field.

  4. On the Main tab, select the employees for which you want to run the report. Specify this information:

    Payroll Account Number or Process Level

    Select a Payroll Account Number or a process level. If you select a Payroll Account Number, you can balance tax authority amounts to the T4 or Releve slips/reports.

  5. On the Report Options tab, select the other report parameters as needed.

  6. Run the report.

You can run the Year-End Parameter Report (PR227) to list the dependant process levels, along with an indicator that will tell you if the dependant process level's parameters are different from the report entity parameters.
