Verify Social Security numbers for employees on an System i machine

  1. Access Enumeration Verification (PR293).
  2. Select report parameters.
  3. Select Create in the Report Option field.
  4. Run the report.

    The Payroll application creates a file named PR293EVS.

  5. Send the electronic file to the SSA to be verified and returned.
  6. When you receive a file back from the SSA, copy it to the file PR293SSN.
  7. Select Verify or Summary in the Report Option field.
  8. Run the report.

    Use the report to identify employees whose SSNs you need to update.
