Verifying W-2 parameters

You can run the Year-End Parameter Report (PR227) to verify that you set up parameters correctly on Year End Parameters (PR27.1).

The report lists the parameters the Payroll application uses to create U.S. W-2 forms, Puerto Rico W-2 forms, and W-2 electronic file.

When you select a company and a reporting entity on this form, the report created shows what parameters are used when you run 1099-R Form Printing (PR250), 1099-R File Creation (PR251),U.S. Territory W-2 (PR252), W-2 Form Printing (PR297) and EFW2 File Creation (PR299) using the same company and reporting entity.

PR227 prints a list of the dependant process levels, along with an indicator that will tell you if the dependant process level's parameters are different from the report entity parameters.

It is strongly recommended that you run the Year-End Parameter Report (PR227) using the same parameters as the W-2 reports. PR27 parameters do not print when you run the other W-2 reports, U.S. Territory W-2 (PR252), W-2 Form Printing (PR297), and EFW2 File Creation (PR299).
