Updating Year-End parameters for 1099-Rs

This section describes how to set up the year-end parameters used to create 1099-R forms and electronic files. You can use the Year-End Parameters Copy/Delete (PR127) form to copy or delete parameters. You can also specify the information into the Year End Parameters (PR27) form.

Define Year End parameters for 1099-Rs

  1. Access Year End Parameters (PR27.1) and Tax Authority Year End Parameters (PR27.2).
  2. Select a Company.
  3. Select a Country Code. This field determines the topics that display in the Topic field.
  4. Specify the reporting year in the Payroll Year field.
  5. Select a Process Level if applicable.
  6. Select a topic and inquire on the topic to display the data items associated with that topic.

    For 1099-Rs you have two topics in PR27.1: 1099-R Payer Information, and Misc 1099-R which contains the Employee Tax Address and one topic in PR27.2: Additional 1099R information which contains 1099R Authority EIN.

  7. Select the data item you want to work with by choosing the action you want to perform on it.
  8. Specify the value for that data item.
  9. Specify in a short description you want to print on the 1099-R form, if applicable.
  10. Select the Change form function.
