Updating Puerto Rico control number

Note: A Puerto Rico control number can be automatically specified when you run US Territory W-2 Form Printing (PR252) and select Yes in the Create Control Number field. If you are updating the control number using PR252, ensure to use PR127 to clear the employee field before you run W-2s for this year.

Specify the control number of Form 499R-2/W-2PR. This is required for EFW2 File Creation (PR299) to create Puerto Rico EFW2 files. Starting with 2019 Tax Year, Control Number sequence 900000000-999999999 is reserved only for the use of the Department.

A payroll year is required.
