Update W2 other CSV comment

Specify a comment for printing miscellaneous information in the output W2.csv file. If you print W2 forms from the W2.csv output file, you can map the output to print on the W2; in box 14 for example.

Note: This is referenced by PR297. It requires that the employee is part of the Other CSV Comment EE Group defined in Year-End Parameters (PR27.1).
  1. Access Employee Year-End Parameters (PR11.1).
  2. Select a company, and a process level if applicable.
  3. Specify in a payroll year in the Payroll Year field if applicable.

    If the information is year specific, a year should be specified. For example, moving expense, business expense, non taxable sick pay, reportable insurance, Puerto Rico control number and cost of employer sponsored health require a year to be specified.

    If the information is not year specific and should apply for the current year and all subsequent years (until removed), do not specify a year. Retirement plan and statutory employee do not require a year and will update Employee (HR11.1).

  4. Select the employee for which you want to specify year-end parameters.
  5. Select a country code. This field determines which topics you can select.
  6. Select the Employee Year End Parameters topic and inquire on the topic to display the data items associated with that topic.
  7. Select the data item you want to work with by choosing the action you want to perform on it.
  8. Specify the value for that data item. Use the Value button to display selection options if applicable.
  9. Some data items require an employee to be part of an employee group defined in PR27 or PR06. This is noted below.
  10. Select the Change form function.
  11. Repeat steps 2 through 8 for all employees for which you must define employee year-end parameters.
