Split Work Order (WO40.7)

Use Split Work Order (WO40.7) if you produced fewer finished goods than were planned.

Processing Effect

Select Yes to split the work order and have the remaining quantity placed on a new work order. The new work order has the same work order number (the work order suffix will be one greater).

If you select Yes, the component quantities (actual quantities) are adjusted automatically. If you select No, and do not split the work order, you may manually adjust the component quantities.

If you split the work order, a second work order is created with a non-zero suffix attached to the work order number. For example, if you split work order number 47, two work orders are created: 47-0 and 47-1. Work order 47-0 contains the completed items, work order 47-1 contains the uncompleted items.
