Post conditions

The two functions of the Vertex O within Infor Lawson are to request and receive a geocode from Vertex; and to send the geocode with the transaction. This enables Vertex to calculate the tax for the transactions and return the tax calculated by Vertex to Lawson.

These are the process flows that Lawson uses:
  • VTX_TAXAREALOOKUP is used for tax area lookup
  • VTX_TAXCALCULATE is used for tax rate lookup
  • VTX_ECHOCALL is used to check if Vertex is running
