Performing invoice interface

AP52 is used to maintain interfaced records. You can locate the tax information on the Invoice Interface (AP52.1) using the Distribution button of an invoice.

Note: If there is a distribution existing with tax, then the Tax button will display. If there is no distribution or a distribution is to be added, then the Tax button will only display once the distribution line is added.

This procedure will show you how to enable Tax Calculate using Accounts Payable invoice interface.

  1. Set Tax Indicator to T - Taxable.
  2. Click OK.
Note: If you need to perform any changes, you can do so in the previous screens (the Distribution Interface or the Invoice Interface).
  3. Run the AP520 unless you know the geocode and the tax amount for the interfaced invoice.
Note: Running the AP520 program in non-update will provide you with the tax amount returned from Vertex and the call to Vertex is in the interface program.
  4. On the Invoice Interface (AP52.1) program, specify the totals for the Invoice Amount and the Tax Amount fields.
  5. Go back to the Invoice Interface (AP520) program and select Y for the Update option to run it in update.
Note: The recommended option is to bring the invoices into Infor Lawson with issues. You can run the Invoice Interface (AP520) program in update then proceed in fixing the issues on Taxed Invoice (AP20.2).
