These procedures will show you how to inquire about tax rates on Tax Inquiry for Vertex (TX40.1).

Checking the tax rate for a single geocode result

Complete these steps to check the tax rate for a single geocode result.

  1. Click Rates.
  2. View the rates breakdown.

Checking the tax rate for multiple geocode results

Complete these steps to check the tax rate for multiple geocode results.

  1. Click the Mult Geocode tab.
  2. To make a selection, specify X in the line Function Code (FC) entry that you will check. Alternatively, you can click the drop-down menu and select X.
  3. Click Rates.
    Note: The next screen displays the rate information (District Rate, City Rate, Country Rate, State Rate, and the Total Tax Rate) for the geocode that you selected.

    Customer (AR09 and AR10) add or change will also perform the Tax Area Request.
