Allocation Detail (SL10.1)

Use Strategic Ledger Allocation (SL10.1) to set up and maintain SL allocations.

Process at a Glance

The allocation is based on allocating one user analysis single value to multiple values of the same user analysis. The allocation has three components, the source of the funds being allocated, the Allocate From (offset), and the Allocate To (target).

The Source can include a pool and a driver (basis). The pool consists of the primary user analysis and value, along with other optional limiting criteria such as specific General Ledger organizational entities and other specific user analyses and related values. The driver consists of the primary user analysis and the values that will be allocated along with other limiting criteria such as GL organizational or UA segments. The driver creates a fixed or dynamic percentage. If the percentage is dynamic, a total name is used for the definition. If the percentage is fixed, the percent and the Allocate To user analysis values are defined on the allocation. The total of the driver UA values is divided by each driver UA value and then multiplied by the pool. Each amount and/or unit is multiplied by the percentage. The exception is the account amt which uses the currency exchange when interfaced.
