User Analysis Group (SL01.1)
Use User Analysis Group (SL01.1) to define and maintain a user analysis group. A user analysis group is a combination of multiple user analyses defined in SL00.1 (User Analysis Values). You can use a user analysis in more than one user analysis group.
More Information
You can use a user analysis group in one or both of the following ways.
- Assign a user analysis group to a Chart of Accounts in GL00.2 (Define Chart) This lets you associate any user analysis value defined for the user analyses you include in the group in transactions, reports, and analysis. You can assign a group to more than one chart. The maximum number of spaces (user analysis values and commas) that can be included in transactions is 103.
- Use a user analysis group to create a user analysis relation in SL02.1 (User Analysis Value Relations). A user analysis relation lets you assign specific user analysis values, defined for each user analysis in the user analysis group to a detail account in GL00.4 (Account Information) or a summary account in GL00.5 (Summary Account Options).
If you use a group to create a user analysis relation in SL02.1, you cannot remove a user analysis from that group until you delete the relation. After you delete the relation, modify the user analysis group and redefine the user analysis value relation.
