Run New Hire Reporting (PR296) to create and submit reports of new hires to comply with the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996.
Processing Effect
The system creates a file for magnetic media or electronic reporting according to the state requirements.
The Payroll system creates the output file in a diskette format for states that allow either diskette or tape as a magnetic media option.
PR296 creates an output filed called NEWHIRE. After you run PR296, you need to transfer the file to the appropriate medium.
