When you first define a pay plan in PR21.1 (Pay Plan), the system creates the first calendar year's pay periods and one pay period into the next calendar year, and the corresponding work periods. When you run PR999 (Payroll Year End Close), the system creates the next calendar year's pay periods and work periods.
