Retroactive Pay Calculation (PR131)

Run Retroactive Pay Calculation (PR131) to calculate a retroactive pay increase based on a percent of earnings or an amount per hour, and create a time record for the amount.

You can calculate retroactive pay for all employees in the company, or for any subgroup of employees based on process level, department, union, job code, shift, employee group, payment date(s), pay class, and/or pay codes.

Processing Effect

Choose Update; Recreate Time Records to have PR131 remove all retro status time records and recreate retro status time records based on the job parameters. Note: This option deletes all retro time records for the employees included in the job parameters. Verify all retro status time records to determine if other PR131 jobs need to be rerun.

For example, for process level A you ran PR131 Update Option; Add Time Records for Pay Code REG1 for 3 %. You then ran PR131 for process level A Update Option; Add Time Records for Pay Code REG2 for 5%. The employees in process level A now have two time records. You realize that the REG2 percent should have been 4% instead of 5%. Run PR131 with Update: Recreate Time Records. This run will delete both time records and recreate the REG2 retro time records for 4%. Then run PR131 again with Update; Add Time Records for the REG1 Pay Code for 3%.

More Information

If you give a retroactive pay increase to non-exempt employees, run PR132 (FLSA Overtime Calculation) to calculate overtime due on the retroactive amount.
