Length of Service Report (PA210)

Run Length of Service Report (PA210) to print a list of the length of service for selected employees or groups of employees. Base the length of service on an employee date field or on employee position data. When calculating length of service using employee position data, choose position, job, or union code as the basis for the service calculation.

PA210 options let you create a CSV file you can use with Employee Conversion (HR511) of User Field Conversion (HR515) to populate an employee date or date user field.

Processing Effect

The date listing option uses a selected date from Employee (HR11.1) or a user date field. Length of service is determined by the elapsed time between the selected date and the through date, and displays both as total years and months and as total days. Employees must have a value in the selected date field to be included on the report.

The service calculation option uses current and historical employee position data to measure length of service. The total time served in a given position, job, or union displays both as total years and months and as total days. Service time may be kept separate for different position/job codes held, or combined across positions/jobs. If kept separate, the description of the position, job, or union code is printed on the report as the basis for the length of service calculation. If the service is combined across these codes, the service basis will not print on the report.

If an employee has a termination date, and the service calculation is being performed for all active positions/jobs, the employee will not be included on the report. If the service calculation is performed for a specified position, job, or union, then the employee may be included up to the Through Date or their termination date, whichever is earlier. You can exclude terminated employee using the population parameters.

If an employee meets the population selection criteria, but their length of service in the selected position(s), job(s), or union is zero, they will not be included on the report.
