Re-exploding work orders

After you have exploded a work order, you can re-explode it if you need to make

  • changes to finished good quantities and you want the components to explode in proportion to the new finished good quantity,

  • changes to the finished good itself (such as component quantity, burdens, and so on) using Finished Goods (IC62.1),

  • reverse changes to the components, burdens, and byproducts on an exploded work order, and

  • changes that affect the inventory cost of producing the finished good, and the burden type is a percentage of inventory cost. You must re-explode the work order to recalculate planned burden cost.
