Different work order statuses
A work order proceeds through various statuses as it moves through the production process. When you want to move the work order along in the process, you change its status. This table lists the work order status codes:
Unreleased | The work order has been created through production scheduling or manually, but has not been released yet. |
Released | Before work orders can be exploded, they must be released. |
Exploded | After the work orders are released, they can be exploded. Exploding work orders breaks them into its component parts. |
In Production | When a work order is at this status, planned quantities cannot be changed. After a work order status is changed to In Production, if you want components, burdens, and byproducts to appear on the work order print and be available for feedback, you can add them with zero planned quantities. |
Canceled | The work order was deleted on Work Order (WO30.1) or deleted for rescheduling on Delete for Rescheduling (WO21.1). |
Completed | The finished goods are produced and you have updated the Inventory Control and General Ledger applications. |
