Performing picking feedback

After printing the pick list, you can optionally perform picking feedback to

  • take physical inventory after components are picked (but before production is complete) and

  • lock component costs at the beginning of production (if component costs fluctuate or for work orders with long production processes).

As a result of performing picking feedback, components are removed from inventory and costs are posted to the work-in-process account.

Perform picking feedback

  1. Access Picking Feedback (WO32.1).
  2. Type the picked component quantity for a work order. Use these action guidelines.
    Inquire

    Select the Inquire form action and type the work order number.

    Change

    Select the Change form action and type the picked quantities.

    Optional Line Details

    Select the Line Details tab to type the secondary quantity for catch weight components picked.

  3. Optional. To perform picking feedback on components that are tracked by bin, lot, serial number, or multiple unit of measure, use this form.
    Form To
    Picking Bin Feedback (WO32.2)

    Type the actual quantity of components that are tracked by bin.

    Note: Select the Line Details tab to type the secondary quantity for catch weight components picked.
    Picking Lot Feedback (WO32.3)

    Type the actual quantity of components that are tracked by lot.

    Note: Select the Line Details tab to type the secondary quantity for catch weight components picked.
    Picking Serial Feedback (WO32.4) Type the actual quantity of components that are tracked by serial number.
    Picking UOM Feedback (WO32.5) Type the actual quantity of components that are tracked by unit of measure.
  4. Select the Finish form action when you have typed the picked quantities for all components.
  5. Select the Release form action to automatically submit Picking Feedback Update (WO132). If you select the release form action, skip the procedure for reducing stock on hand.
