Create demand for a fixed order point

  1. Access Finished Good Replenishment (IC143) in update mode.

    Before you run this program, you must use Production Schedule (WO20.1) to schedule existing forecast demand generated by a previous run of this program. Scheduling production online Otherwise, if you run this program using the Add option in the Impact on Forecast Demand field, this program will add the demand calculated by this program to the previously calculated demand and the forecast demand will be overstated.

  2. Run this program to print a report listing finished goods that must be replenished or to create forecast demand for such finished goods. Specify this information:
    Company

    Select a company number defined on Company (IC01.1).

    Location

    Select a valid stock location as defined on Location (IC02.1). It is also the production facility where finished goods are produced for work orders.

    If this field is blank, this form processes applicable items assigned to all locations defined for the company in Item Location (IC12.1).

    Projected Production Date

    Type the date when production will start.

    Update

    Select whether to update the database or to print a report only.

    Select Yes to update the database. "Update" means creating forecast demand for the determined reorder quantity of finished goods.

    Select No to print a report only. The database is not updated (that is, no demand is created).

    Impact on Forecast Demand

    If the Update field is Yes, select the impact on the work order forecast demand.

    • Select R to replace forecast demand with the newly calculated forecast demand quantity.

    • Select A to add to forecast demand quantity.

    • Select L to leave alone the existing forecast demand quantity.

    Release

    Select whether to release the demand generated by this program. Demand is generated when available quantities are less than the reorder point.

    • Select Yes to create released demand.

    • Select No to create unreleased demand.

      Note: Use Forecast Demand (WO10.1) to view and release unreleased forecast demand on the reorder document code set up in the reorder form.
