Defining a calendar
The Production Order application uses the Calendar Definition (caldef) utility that lets you define your work schedule. Using caldef, you define all work and non-work days (such as weekends and holidays) -- typically for a year in advance.
When scheduling a work order that requires continuous production (such as meat processing that might spoil if left over a weekend), the planners can be alerted to the situation and schedule production accordingly.
For instructions on defining a calendar (caldef), see Getting Started with the Desktop Client.
