Checking component availability

You can view component availability at any time to:

  • verify that you have enough components available to produce a specific finished good quantity

  • inquire on how many finished goods you can produce based on component availability

Use this procedure to check component availability.

Check component availability

  1. Access Finished Good Component Availability (IC68.1).
  2. Select the Inquire form action.
  3. To see if you have enough components available to produce a specific finished good quantity, type the finished good quantity needed in the Quantity field.

    To view the quantity of finished goods that you can produce from available components, leave the Quantity field blank.

  4. Optional. If you have set up substitute locations, select Yes in the Check Substitute Location field.
