Work orders

A work order is a document that defines the finished goods to be produced, byproducts, burden rates, and components to be used. Work orders keep track of the production process. You can create work orders in two ways:

  • through production scheduling

  • enter manually

Example

If you make bicycles and your demand increases in spring, you can manually create a work order to have bicycles on hand at that time instead of waiting for demand to increase through production scheduling.
