Updating Inventory Control and General Ledger

After completing the entry of production feedback for work orders, you must update Inventory Control and General Ledger for the inventory items used and produced, along with updating General Ledger for the cost of burdens. In addition, the actual cost of the finished goods produced for the work order is determined.

The production feedback form (WO40.1) must be in the Finished status. Running the production feedback update program (WO140) changes the work order status to Completed.

Update inventory control and general ledger

  1. Access Production Feedback Update (WO140).
  2. Run Production Feedback Update (WO140) to update the Inventory Control application with the component quantity used and the cost of finished goods produced. WO140 also updates the General Ledger application with the costs of components and burdens that went into the finished good. WO140 updates the General Ledger application with the cost of components waste. If you entered lot expiration dates on Finished Good Lot Feedback (WO40.3) or Byproduct Lot Feedback (WO42.3), WO140 will update Lot Hold Control (IC27.1) and Lots (IC29.1).
