Tax table

A tax table lets you calculate a tax on a tax (apply more than one tax code to the same transaction). You must use the tax table code to assign more than one tax to a transaction.

The Tax application applies a tax table to a transaction by searching for dates. The application searches for the tax table with an effective date that is closest to the transaction date without going over. When the application finds the tax table with the closest effective date that is before the transaction date, the application applies the tax table to the transaction.

Tax tables have no rates assigned to them. Each member tax code has its own rate assigned to it.
