Reprocessing an allocation

Sometimes, allocations need to be re-allocated or adjusted. For example, all the expenses were not updated prior to posting an allocation or the allocation was not calculated properly and needs to be edited. This procedure enumerates the steps that are needed to re-allocate and adjust your allocations.

  1. Unrelease, then delete the Journal Entry on Allocation Journal Control (SL15.1).
  2. If the allocation was incorrect because it was not set up properly, then use Allocation Detail (SL10.1) or Allocation Control (SL13.1) to Unrelease the allocation and make the appropriate changes.
  3. Unrelease the allocation. Use Allocation Control (SL13.1) and assign a reprocess journal number.
  4. Release the allocation. See Releasing an allocation.
  5. Calculate the allocation. See Calculating allocations.
  6. Interface the allocation. See Interfacing allocations.
