About creating Strategic Ledger transactions

You can assign user analysis values in header areas and to specific detail lines. When you assign values in a header, those values are set as default to each detail line. But some user analysis values may not be valid for certain accounts included in the transaction. You can override those values for each detail line without affecting other detail lines.

If you use a user analysis value relation, then Strategic Ledger uses a Smart Select feature that displays the valid values for the remaining user analysis fields based on the first value that you select.

When you assign user analysis values in transactions, you must include values for each user analysis field. For example, you can assign two user analysis fields to a user analysis group and assign the group to the chart of accounts. When you assign user analysis values in transactions, you must select values from both user analysis fields. But if you do not want to include a value for one user analysis field in a transaction, then you can select a blank value as that user analysis value.
