Assigning object types to attributes

After you have defined an attribute, you must associate the attribute with an object type. The object type identifies where the attribute is used. You can assign as many objects to the attribute as necessary.

This table lists the object types that can be associated with attributes in Strategic Ledger:

Complete these steps to assign object types to an attribute:

Click Objects on Attribute (MX00.1) to open Associate Attribute to Objects (MX00.3).
Select an object type ANLSY or SLTRN. You can assign several object types to the same attribute. Use these guidelines to specify the field values:

Required

Select whether the attribute is required to complete transactions. If you select Yes, then the attribute is required for every transaction used for every transaction with a user analysis or Strategic Ledger.

Note: If you select Yes, then you will receive a message: Values are not defined for required attributes.

Apply to Object Group

You can associate the attribute to user analysis. This only enables you to use the attribute in the values in the user analysis.
