User analysis group

A user analysis group is a group of user analyses. To use Strategic Ledger, you must assign a user analysis group to a General Ledger chart of accounts. This determines which user analyses are presented during transaction entry for all companies that are associated with that chart of accounts. It also establishes that all transactions based on the accounts in the chart are sent to Strategic Ledger and General Ledger. You can assign a group to more than one chart of accounts.

Note: You can assign a user analysis to more than one user analysis group.

When you interface transactions from non-Lawson systems, this ensures that transaction data conforms to the data size and type for each user analysis in the group.

Business example

Moose Wood Outfitters defined user analyses to track Product Line, Product, Market and Distribution Channel in sales transactions. They defined a user analysis group containing these user analyses, and assigned the group to the chart of accounts associated with their General Ledger company.
