About suppressing a row line from printing on a report
The print line option lets you suppress a row line from printing on a report. The total for the row line is still included in the report in the next detail line. When you define a row line, click More to access the Additional Information (RW10.6) subform. In the Print Line field, you can indicate if you want account and organizational level row information to print on the report. If you leave this field blank, then Yes is set as default and the line information prints. If you select No, then only the row line totals print.
Example
Using this portion of a chart of accounts, LGE wanted to show one consolidated line for accounts 11100-100, 11200-100, and 11200-200. They did not want account 11100-200 to print.
Account number | Posted amount | Description |
---|---|---|
11100-100 | $100.00 | Cash in Savings |
11100-200 | $500.00 | Cash in Checking |
11200-100 | $200.00 | Cash in Certificate of Deposit #1 |
11200-200 | $400.00 | Cash in Certificate of Deposit #2 |
LGE defined each row line as shown in this table to consolidate all of the amounts into a single line. The totals from the lines defined with a no print line option were automatically added to the next detail line set to print.
Description | Account | Subaccount | Row type | Detail type | Print line option |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
11100 | 100 | Detail | Consolidate | No | |
Consolidated Cash | 11200 | 100-200 | Detail | Consolidate | Yes |
Since they did not define account 11100-200 at all, account 11100-100 was rolled into the next group of detail lines and printed as one consolidated line on the report.
Consolidated Cash $700.00
