Detail group
A detail group is an option that lets you repeat lines that display in the rows of your reports. Use this option to save time when setting up a report that has similar lines going down the page with only the account or accounting unit being reported on changing.
You assign lines to a detail group and the application automatically repeats those lines based on the detail option assigned to the first line in the range. For example, with a detail option of Account, the lines repeat at each change in the account. With a detail option of Level, the lines repeat once for every change in the posting accounting unit.
Example
LGE has created a Style 3 report to show sales and percent-of-total sales for each accounting unit displayed by sales account. In this example, the first row line in the detail group has a detail option of Account. The lines in the detail group repeat once for every sales account defined in the range.
