Process group

Note: Process groups are not unique by company.

A process group stores and organizes all report names you define. Unlike a folder, a process group does not store the components of a report such as the row and column. The process group stores only the report names. You must define at least one process group for each report, but you can create as many as necessary. Use a process group to generate several reports at one time.

Example

LGE Corporation has defined three process groups, based on the way they run reports. One process group is called Monthly to store month-end reports, one is called Quarterly to store quarter-end reports, and one is called Taxes to store tax reports.

At month-end, they run all reports in the Monthly process group. Some month-end reports are maintained by Sue and are stored in Sue's folder. Other month-end reports are maintained by Mary and are stored in Mary's folder. Running reports by process group lets LGE run reports from both folders at once.
