User class
A user class is a kind of security that lets you restrict the users that can modify and use information stored in folders. A user class is a list of users with authority to add or maintain files within the folder to which the user class is assigned. Users not defined in the user class can inquire on any folder, but cannot add to or modify data. You assign a user class to a folder on Folder (RW01.1).
Example
LGE Corporation has defined three folders, one for each of the employees in the corporate accounting department. One folder is called Sue's Folder, and stores only Sue's reports. LGE also define a user class called Sue's Class in which Sue is the only user. They assigned this user class to Sue's Folder to prevent anyone except for Sue from adding to or changing information in that folder. The other employees, Mary and Bob, can inquire on and use information in Sue's Folder, but they cannot make additions or changes.
