Defining education

Note: If an applicant is hired through a personnel action, information from Applicant Education (PA34.1) transfers.

Track information about an employee's education. Personnel Administration uses education information to determine if an employee is qualified for a job or position.

To define education

  1. Access Education (PA20.1).
  2. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Degree

    Select a degree the employee earned or the level of education the employee reached. This is a required field.

    Subject

    Select the subject the employee studied.

    Rating

    Type the employee's grade point average or any other level that represents the employee's educational performance.

  3. Select the Change form function.
