Searching for qualified candidates

Display qualified and authorized candidates for a job or position. Candidates are qualified if they meet the education, competency, and certification requirements defined for a job or position. Candidates who do not meet the basic requirements of a job or position but have other qualifications must be authorized in order to qualify.

Note: A candidate's education must have a complete date or be in process to meet the education requirement of a job.

To display qualified and authorized candidates for a job or position

  1. Access the appropriate form for your need.

    Search for applicants who are qualified or authorized for a job or position Applicant Qualification Search (PA63.1)
  2. Complete the form using the following guidelines:
    Job Code

    If you are searching for candidates who are qualified or authorized for a job, select a job code. You can perform a qualification search by either job code or position, but not by both.

    Position

    If you are searching for candidates who are qualified or authorized for a position, select a position code. You can perform qualification searches by either job code or position, but not by both.

    Essential

    Select the qualification you would like to search by.

    If you select All Essential and Not Essential, a candidate must meet all of the qualifications defined for the job or position.

    If you select All Essential, a candidate must meet only the qualifications defined as essential.

    If you select All Not Essential, a candidate must meet only the qualifications that are defined as not essential.

    If you select Any Essential, a candidate must meet one or more of the qualifications defined as essential.

    If you select Any Not Essential, a candidate must meet one or more of the qualifications defined as not essential.

    Note: You define job and position qualifications on Qualifying Criteria (PA08.1). Each qualification is defined as either essential or not essential.
  3. Select the Inquire form function.
