Defining proficiency values

Use proficiency values to distinguish levels of performance. Once you define your proficiency values, you will be able to assign a default proficiency value and assign specific proficiencies to competencies. Assigning proficiency values to competency codes

To define proficiency values

  1. Access HR Code Setup (HR04.1) and select the HR Codes button.
  2. On the HR Codes (HR04.2) Type field, select PF in the type field.
  3. Select the Inquire form function to access HR Codes (HR04.3).
  4. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Code

    Type a code that represents the proficiency level.

    Description

    Type a description of the proficiency level.

    Level

    Type a number to associate the proficiency with a level. This enables the application to perform gap analysis on competencies.

    Status

    Select whether the proficiency code is active or inactive.

  5. Select the Add form function. Select the Change form function if you are changing the initial list of proficiency levels.
