Scheduling employees for health and safety test

Note: Manually schedule employees for a test using Employee Tests (PA49.1).

Schedule a test for employees using Update Scheduled Test (PA149). This is an automated approach to scheduling health and safety tests. This program lets you:

  • Identify employees and applicants with overdue tests

  • Schedule tests for employees who require renewal or follow up tests

  • Schedule tests for employees who are newly eligible for a test

  • Update renewal and follow up dates and tests for completed tests

  • Schedule tests for applicants who require a follow up action

Applicants are scheduled manually through Applicant Tests (PA49.3). Once an applicant is scheduled, it is an option to use Update Scheduled Test (PA149) to pick up any follow-up or renewal tests that are needed. Scheduling applicants for a health and safety test

To schedule employees for health and safety test

  1. Access Update Scheduled Tests (PA149).
  2. On the Main tab, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Company

    Select a company. This is a required field.

    Schedule Type

    Select the value that indicates whether you want to perform an incremental update, mass update, new update, or update renewal and follow up information. This is a required field. Your selection will determine which of the tabs to complete.

    Schedule Date

    Type the date you want to use for the Schedule Date. This date updates the Schedule Date field on Employee Tests (PA49.1).

    Initiate Workflow

    If you use Infor Process Automation, select the value that indicates whether to initiate a workflow service, and whom to notify. This option uses the Test Notify Workflow Service.

  3. Select the Incremental tab to:
    • List overdue tests

    • Delete scheduled tests for employees who are no longer eligible

    • Schedule tests for employees or applicants who require renewal or follow up

    • Schedule tests for employees who are newly eligible for tests because of a personnel action change

  4. Select the New tab to schedule an employee group for a new test. When you run the update, Personnel Administration follows prerequisite and eligibility rules for the test.
  5. Select the Mass tab to schedule a group of employees to take a test at a specific time. When you use the Mass tab, the Personnel Administration application does not follow eligibility rules. The application schedules all employees you select. Use this option when you need to schedule a test for a group of employees even though they not meet eligibility requirements.
  6. Select the Renew, Follow Up tab to calculate renewal and follow up tests for employees and applicants. This option is used when renewal or follow up test requirements change and you need to recalculate the dates for all employees and applicants. The test that is recalculated is the most recent test with a Completed test status.
  7. Select the Add form function.
  8. Submit the job.
