Assigning working conditions

Assign information about the working conditions of a job or position. Working conditions include environmental conditions, equipment operated, supervision received, and travel.

To simplify this task, assign general working conditions to job codes. Then assign only unique working conditions to a position.

Unlike qualifications, the Personnel Administration does not take working conditions into consideration when performing candidate qualification searches.

To assign working conditions

  1. Access Working Conditions (PA08.2).
  2. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Job code

    Select the job code to assign it to the working condition.

    Position

    Select a position code to assign it to the working condition.

    Type

    Select a type of working condition. This is a required field.

    Condition

    Select the working condition. This is a required field.

    Essential

    Select whether this is an essential requirement for the job or position. This is a required field.

    Percent

    The percent of time the employee will be subject to this working condition.

  3. Select the Add form function.
