Job codes

Job codes represent a specific set of tasks or duties in an organization. For example, you could define job codes for nurses, doctors, and administrative assistants.

You use job codes throughout Human Capital Management to perform various functions. For information on defining job codes, see the Infor Human Resources User Guide.

Within the Personnel Administration application, you use job codes to perform a variety of functions, such as:

  • Define the qualifications for a job

  • Define the working conditions of the job

  • Define the physical or mental requirements for the job

  • Define the job description

  • Create requests to employ someone for a specific job

  • Analyze wages

  • Create employment equity reports

  • Track or budget head count or FTEs
