Defining course prerequisites

Define the course before defining course prerequisites. Defining a course

Define course prerequisites to limit participation in a course. There are seven types of prerequisites to choose from. Use the tabs that pertain to the type of prerequisite selected.

For prerequisite competency types, a minimum proficiency level also can be defined. Indicate whether the employee's renewal information should be considered when determining if a prerequisite competency has been met. For example, an employee's competency requires renewal by January 15, 2001. If you indicate renewal information should be considered and the session begins after January 15, 2001, then the employee does not meet the prerequisite competency.
