Ledger group

A ledger group is an entity used to associate a General Ledger detail or posting account with one or more ledgers, allowing a company to maintain several sets of books for the same account.

A ledger group can contain a single ledger or multiple ledgers. You associate a ledger group with a chart of accounts detail account or with an accounting unit posting account.
