Multi-Book Ledger process flow
The Multi-Book Ledger process flow can be divided into four main processes: setup, processing, and reporting, and maintenance.

Setup
Setup includes these setup tasks:

Define one or more ledgers

Assign one or more companies to a ledger

Define one or more ledger groups

Define a calendar for each ledger company

Assign a ledger group to each detail or posting account for which multiple ledgers are to be maintained
If you are using attributes, the setup also includes setting up your attributes.
Processing
Processing includes these required or optional tasks:

Process journal entries

Process recurring journal entries

Maintain journal entries

Maintain ledger company balances

Close a period or year-end

Interface transactions or balances
