Drill around

A drill around is a multi-dimensional tool that you can use to access information in a Lawson application. A drill around provides real-time information in an online format, which means you do not have to wait for a printed report to access and analyze data. You can use a drill around on any field in the application where the drill around icon is available.

With a drill around, you can:

• Access information that originated in Multi-Book Ledger. For example, selecting Drill Around on the Ledger field gives you access to the ledger header information, and to the list of companies associated with the ledger.

• Access information in the actual application where the transaction originated. For example, selecting Drill Around on the Company field gives you access to the General Ledger company information.
