What happens when I delete a ledger company?

Note: You can delete only inactive ledger companies. You cannot delete a ledger company if transactions exist in the Current, Last, or Next year.

When you delete a ledger company, all the records related to that company within the ledger are deleted.

  • If the ledger is associated with more than one company and you delete only one of the companies, the ledger remains and only the selected company records are deleted.

  • If you delete the entire ledger (if you do not select a company), the entire ledger is deleted and is no longer accessible.

    Whether you delete one company or all companies from a ledger, the ledger gets deleted from all the ledger groups it belonged to. If the ledger still exists (you did not delete all the companies), you need to reassociate it with the ledger groups where it is needed.
